It looks like Facebook have recently started using members personal pictures without their consent for advertising purposes, possibly even for use in "hot singles" ads ...

From Facebook here: http://www.facebook.com/privacy/?view=feeds&tab=ads
Then it says: "Appearance in Facebook Ads" with a menu containing 2 options:
1. "Only my friends"
2. "No one."
Option 1 appears to be the default, so it looks like these ads will appear unless a user happens to notice it and goes in and changes it (which I just did on mine.)
So unless any Facebook members here want to appear in ads, CHANGE THE OPTION QUICK!

Facebook occasionally pairs advertisements with relevant social actions from a user's friends to create Facebook Ads. Facebook Ads make advertisements more interesting and more tailored to you and your friends. These respect all privacy rules. You may opt out of appearing in your friends' Facebook Ads below.
