meanwhile, locals pay ONLY AROUND 3500GBP PER YEAR!!!!

3500?! thats about 7 parris ultimates or 7 Hunt&obsorne black plates or 7 MW customs...that sounds okay...fair enuf

    12,000GBP!!?

    thats just tuition payment though.....

    ADDED EDIT:
so...advice for snooker dads in the UK...stop cue shopping!! hehehe
The difference is not high enough! If we are to educate and therefore advance the development of other people and nations we should be generating enough income from that to educate ten of our own.

They then become more productive, earn more, pay more tax, help the economy etc etc

Why don´t you study in germany? Some universities (depending in which state of Germany they are) don´t even have fees at all, some ask around 500 Euro. Or do an overseas year when studying in your home country, there must be some programmes which are free of charge (except pints in a pub etc of course )

how many universities actually offer programs where you don't need German? I think that is a major problem. In Sweden and Finland you can find them, from what I know (they seem to have quite a lot Chinese students in Finland), but I had bad experiences with the level of the courses at Swedish universities. Although, the boredom there got me hooked on snooker, so it was good to spend time there after all

Also in Austria studying is cheap, but the standards aren't good either.
