im not saying we dont need to stop polluting far from it but the world is no going to end. ths planet has been heating up and cooling down from day one.
yes we need to clean up and fast stop being so wast full we need to help india china africa even the U.S and the U.K and all of the world really change over to cleaner fuels.
also if it was really as bad as the news and papers wont us to think the worlds goverments would have funded scientists to make more greener fuels as it would kill 2 birds wth one stone a green solution and we would not hve to worry about the middle east and stealing there oil lol
as there not and all there doing is making taxes higher
to me its just a good excuse to make me pay £410 on road tax a year and £1.14 a liter on fuel if it was really about beein green thay would make big industry clean up and start making car companys make green cars and puting filters on cows backsides and so on not funding big wars in the middle east and giving banks billions and billions

you don't consider:
- the world won't end, yeah. Only just the human race
- who ever sells oil, profits from oil... has a BIG interest to keep on doing so: MONEY. no matter if 80% of the world's human population might die from hunger, you're still able to buy your food. plus, you're 50-60, so don't worry - when it all comes to an end in 30 years, you won't be here anyway.
- it's far worse than what you still think it is. FAR worse...

so how can the so called "experts" i put that in quotes as nobody can be a true expert of the world ending as it has not happened to us before has it, so they cant categoricaly state that this is going to cause it etc etc blah blah....#
I still stand by my previous comment, its the worlds governments all got to gether and scare mongering to use it as a way to gain more revenue from so called green taxes

I just wanted to say:
As long as it's not lucrative to a specific guy to tell you to save energy, he simply won't do it.
If someone would profit a bit from you saving energy/being green, and on the other hand thousands would profit massively from you not doing so, think from whom you gonna hear more?
it's too easy for the big oil and gas companies to PAY for mis-information.

I am and will continue to be very proud to be Canadian.
As we are seeing recently with respect to what is being called the Climategate scandal, science has had virtually nothing to do with the climate change scare. This may come as news to some, but has actually been quite apparent to anybody asking the question over the past couple of years. These "Climategate" e-mails are merely the smoking gun.
What shames me as a Canadian is our CBC's continual support and virtual deification of David Suzuki in his efforts to ingrain this climate change propaganda into the minds of Canadians. It is incumbant upon anyone who considers themself a scientist to have a critical view of all scientific claims in order to get at the truth, whatever that is. The absence of this mindset by him as well as others completely undermines and invalidates their credentials, in my opinion.
Rant complete, let's play snooker.

It's kind of like a bad joke.
You know how advertising or jokes will right off catch your interest with something to perk your ears up and suck you in...
tell you something you want to hear... such as "We will not have to be dependent on Middle East oil... we can free our
hostage bonds!" OK. "Not only that, we can practice the Green Mantra "Think Globally - Act Locally"!" WOW!
"We can do it right here, at home! ". COOL! "Self-sufficiency is the way of the future!" RIGHT ON! [ Think of the money we'll save (and earn)! ]
"The Athabasca Tar Sands is a greater resource than even... sliced bread!". YES!
Unfortunately, yes, I and millions of others got setup and suckered with a punchline that has me seeing stars... ANGRY RED STARS.
On a more human scale it would like Andrew and me and you and some other good folks piling into his "infamous Jag"
heading out to do a "Withnail&Us" in celebration of Ants McGills' great run up to the IBSF 1/4 Finals where he hit a brick wall,
namely, the eventual winner... hell let's invite Alfie Burden out too!
So... in a nutshell after more than a few frames of WTF snooker (how do they do that?!?!, enough lager to cure what ales us and
Andrew even springs for a couple of these... which we down and enjoy to the last very last drop...
Round about dawn reeling from the liquid consumables and feeling as hungry as a Hummer we all tuck into a huge pile of barfood,
curry and chips and as well a few pair of lovely meat pies...
So fueled by fun and sport and tall tales and booze and food and great comradery, heads swimming and guts churning,
we point towards home port as the sun comes up. Yes, we have been gluttons. Obliviously happy gluttons.
The rest of us nod off as Andrew drives. Taking twisty, turning back roads, the nasty concoction formulating in Andrew's
guts eventually busts out. The Witches' Brew, The Mother of All Farts! Foul enough to gag a maggot but ... silent.
Andrew in a loud voice rouses us from our "too much is just enough" contentment before the gas bomb hits and says,
"LADS!... WAKE UP! ... can anyone else smell it? It smells like...
Fresh bread!
This is so on-topic it's not funny!

It's a post about how the "Eat, Drink and be Merry" way we have been relating to the earth, to the landforms and resources,
to all the life forms will come back on us like indigestion... or worse.
And the status quo... the powers that be... those who have the most to lose when we inevitably have to change to survive,
not unlike the WPBSA and Walker's last ditch promises of new tournaments... try to trick us into smelling the "Fresh Bread"
when in fact it's a bloody fart.
... something that that?
Cheers mate.
