It had to happen sooner or later. It can't always be the U.S. people point at in that corner of world.

I can tell you're distressed, noel. Lets then simply pretend you're only doing what any good brother would.

I would like to put forward some important facts-

      - Global warming has been increasing constantly since 1975 at the rate of less than one-fifth of a degree centigrade per decade.
      - The concentration of carbon dioxide increased surface temperatures more in winter than in summer and especially in mid and high latitudes over land, while there was a global cooling of the stratosphere.
      - The East Anglia University climate research unit found that global temperatures did not increase between 1998 and 2005.
      - A recent NASA satellite found that the Southern Hemisphere has not warmed in the past 25 years.

Personally I think that global warming issue has been exaggerated and blown out of proportion.

It rarely ends well when people start making parallels with Holocaust* or, as has recently been the case here, the Third Reich.

            *PETA, anyone?

It' appreciated, noel. Neither of us wants to add to the problem of global warming with a heated discussion, do you?

                    No. No. No.

Will that be blue, rare, medium rare or ruined?

That really says it all but I'm sure Gallileo (or Darwin) would tell you that science, evidence, the blatantly obvious are like water off a poilitician's back if he has religion.

                              Yes.
Information that will hopefully stretch the minds of those whose heads are buried in the Tar Sands.
Even if this "information" only serves as propaganda against participation and support of such a negative
and comsumptive lifestyle, is that bad? Not long ago nicotine addicts were saying that smoking doesn't cause cancer.
Now we have oil addicts saying their continuation of old world dependancies doesn't harm the environment, the "lungs of the earth".
And this isn't just a "green" "treehugger" "hippy" protest against harmful greed... the tar sand oil reclamation costs one barrel
to produce two... it's just desperately stupid in everyway.
Our generations failure to invest in alternative clean sources of sustainable power while we had the technological and financial
resources to... is a crime. That the "Coalition Against Evil" could squander human lives and trillions of dollars on futile wars as an
"investment" in global security (read: secure oil supply) and still wind up grovelling to oil-rich countries and now in our own
dirty sandbox just to try to preserve a dying way of living on earth is a moral disgrace as well. It reminds me of scenes from Road Warrior.
I know it ain't a pretty picture but we must look at it honestly. Now.
What shall I tell my three children?

This CBC program on the Tar Sands is a home-grown, broad-based and fair assessment and deserves watching...
