  • Help Urgently Needed!!!

    Hi guys!

I'd really need your help. I still have to do a research project for university about the comparison of South African English to standard British English. I already gathered the South African speech samples but am lacking voices of standard British English.

I'd need some 3 people who would be willing to do a recording via phone. However, it is important that you speak a standard variety (or can imitate it for that matter). No ****ney, Scouse, etc. needed. Rather a formal way of talking English (like to a superior or on TV), something that's known as 'BBC accent'.

Now I know it may be strange to give somebody your contact details who you've only known from an internet message board and I'd perfectly understand it if nobody would want to do it. But you'd really helping me out. Just PM me, mail me or post a reply here.

    Thanks in advance,
    Kat

Thanks for offering but Scottish isn't really what I'm looking for

Forgot to say however that the interview consists of about 13 phrases, so it won't take longer than a minute or two to record it.

And of course I'll be taking the costs...

no worries, as i "said" in my post, youd likley not understand my broad accent.....

if your looking for a sean connery impersonator in future, no probs

best of luck finding victims, i mean volunteers. im sure there will be some who can and will offer to help you.

I'm probably a bit too Yorkshire. There's got to be someone though. Did Lord Ernest ever register here? I get the impression he'd have just the right voice .
