Out of work - good or bad ?

Out of work AGAIN
So its good as i can watch and play snooker during the day
But its bad because the future's not looking bright

Anyone out there in similar situation ??

Graduated in September still haven't found any local jobs. Everyones looking for experienced people no one wants to hire me.

Ive had the same kind of job for 30 years (steelwork draughtsman) and ime finding it impossible to attempt to diversify as like you say everyone wants experienced people. Do you know what you want to be RG or are you flexible

yep been unemployed for 5 months now

Obviously each persons financial situation is different (ie - guess you still live at home RG ?) but personally i find its the stress of "running out of money" the hardest thing to come to terms with, as soon as i get a decent amount of cash stashed away then the work runs out again !

Still studying-not sure about my future profession now-however snooker still excites me

they ripped a window out of the wall and got loads of stuff to take but something spooked them and they left every thing we were very lucky
ill be keeping my cue in my bed from now on the wife can have the sofa lol :snooker::snooker:

Live with my parents but I miss living on my own (well with a friend) at uni.
I ran out of money long ago lol... Technically I'm about 20k in debt before I have found a job...
I'm looking at any jobs in electronics fields round here atm. problem is I don't drive and one of the only jobs to have come up the entire time I have been on the dole wanted me to start at 8.30 and I would have got two buses. Just no way of taking 2 buses to get there for 8.30.

But does the job centre not put pressure on you to attempt to get there ? (buy a bike ) between feb & sept last year when i was claiming, towards the end felt as tho i was being forced into taking any old job - expecting me to travel up to 100 miles in any direction

It is really bad to hear about your situation.

In Germany the situation was not that bad last year, mainly because a lot of people worked reduced time. But expectation is that the situation will get worse this year.

RG, what are you doing to keep your electronics knowledge alive?
Do you invent cool snooker gadgets like a revolutionary electronic scorboard or a force sensor in the cue to show how hard the ball was hit?

Would be an option but I'd really rather stay round here. I'm expected to travel up to 1.5 hours on public transport to get to a job according to the job centre now. Amazing how that doesn't get you very far with the buses round here though, I mean Swindon is only 17 miles away but the bus goes all around the houses and takes about an hour to get there, then I would have to get another from the bus station to wherever the job itself is. I hope I find something soon,.
