It depends on how old your PS3 is. The very first model (I think it was the one with a 60GB harddrive) was compatible with PS2 games (to a certain degree). All other models don't work with PS2 software.

I dont have a PS2, or PS3. I was looking for a gift for a friend's daughter and there is this PS2 game that looks very nice plus the price is very good. I do not know anything about video games, so I am wondering if I should buy it.
