are jobs strict about this just like ive been looking on google and you supposively just need indiana ink and a needle and cotton wool and just draw it on then keep poking it on to it then job done?
By law employers are not supposed to discriminate against you regarding tattoos unless they're offensive.

Having said that, many will, they just won't say that's the reason.

Can I ask why are you wanting such a tattoo ? You can't be 100% certain that you like the look of these or you wouldn't be asking on here.

And why are you thinking of doing it yourself ? If you must have a tattoo, then pay a pro to do it for you.

Well i for one would avoid him, he may be the nicest lad you could meet, BUT he looks like trouble, and i cant see anybody employing him looking like that. As for home or shop done - ime not sure, but i would say go to a shop as if you make a mess of it you will have a hard and expensive time getting rid of/altering them

those tattoos on his face are done by a pro each to there own i say. i have a very large tattoo on my leg which covers my thigh then twists down behind my knee and the down to my ankle. now if i was walking down the street with a pair of shorts on you wouldnt be able to see it from the front only when you got behind me its large but discreet thats how tattoos should be. dont tattoo your face you will regret it plus i know alot of shops round where i live will not do it. its not just about what people will think about you its how they treat you and how it will effect your life in general jobs, your kids your mum and dads fealings

during a job interview i was told to get rid of my eyebrow ring.

but at least i can take it off if necessary.

My son who just recently turned 16 has one of those, together with 2 small rings thro his bottom lip and a stretcher thing in one ear
Hes all died black hair and eyeliner etc (sure he's not mine )
wildest thing i did at his age was to have blonde streaks in my hair to look like Simon le Bon (DuranDuran)

A friend of mine has "LOVE" on the left four fingers and "HATE" on the right side. It was homemade about 20 years ago and he regrets every single day to have it done.
It looks blurry now and he had always problems to get a job. He is an IT specialist without contact to customers but he is sure he hasn't got a few jobs because of the tattoo.
Now he is working as a freelancer but it is hard for him to find customers.

I spoke with him about working for a telephone hotline or helpdesk instead.

He tells anybody not to have a tattoo that cannot be covered.
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

avoid home made ones really really really!

i have proper ones on my left forearm (daughters name) my bum (barcode with date of birth underneath) and on my right arm i have an apple pie (long story) a flying hellfish (grandpa simpsons army regiment) and a red arrow symbol that was used by the Anti-Nazi League (from my days in the anti facist movement).

really though no home made ones. no no no no no !

Never ever try to ink yourself.....

I've known a few over the years in the south wales valleys with the dots name on knuckles home made guitars up their legs, all sorts i tells ya...

And every single 1 looks just that, home done.... they look absolutely awful, you try and ink yourself and write letters all neat and tidy, you won't do it...

Only 1 place to go for tats, and that's to a pro...

I can't believe you have even been considering the home made name on the knuckles thing, only right idiots do sh!t like that mun...
