If you were going for anywhere I'd probably pick upper arm. Would be hidden when wearing a T-shirt but easy enough to roll up the sleeves to show anyone that wants to see.

My sister has her ex husbands name on her arm, a while back she started seeing a bloke decided she was in love and then got the new blokes name tattoed as well. needless to say it didnt work out and she now has "john" AND "alan" on her person.

the morale of the story is never have anything tattoed if there is the remotist chance your opinion of this thing might change in the future.

              Your childrens names.. FINE
Your sports teams crest.. FINE (why would your opinion change)
Your Political organisation.. BE CAREFUL (i have an often troublesome tattoo myself)
Your spouse.. DONT DO IT (i know, sounds ruthless but you just dont know)
Your favourite band.. NO (there would have been people in the past with "Gary Glitter" innocently on their arm)

in terms of things like eagles and dogs or mermaids and such... imagine how it will look when your 60, if your ok with this go for it.

                Agree with you mate.. Haha.
Must be careful when choosing tattoo..
There was a man during his youth he have a "love" tattoo on his chest as a gift for his wife. Now that he is 60++ the "love" looks more like an apple..
The best I think is still those tribal tattoo..

It is the same with a friend of mine. We always make some jokes like "You need to cross the name out" or "stay universal and choose "honey" or "darling"..."
I am confused... Oh wait... Maybe I'm not...

I think snookerfan has been given some sound advice on this thread, and given the speed at which his tattoo dreams have altered over these few pages, I am thinking he has had a little bit of fun at everyone's expense.

I know he is a young man, but surely at 18 he is old enough to appreciate that having a spider's web tattoo-ed on his face or 'FICK' etched on his knuckles is not going to do his employment prospects any favours.

I do not have tattoos, but have not rules out getting one at some point, although they will be positioned such that they will not interfere with my day to day dealings with people.

I'm not sure what you're asking here.......

If you're asking if it's true that interviewers ignore tattoos in exposed places such hands, wrists, neck and face, then officially they will say they do, but unofficially they won't.

Especially in jobs that you face customers or have to set a certain professional image.

Take you for instance, if you want to become a joiner and work for yourself then potential customers that you go to jobs and give quotes for may not ask you back to take on the job.

Wrongly they would judge you as being a potential thug or not trust worthy due to having tattoos in those areas, but if they saw a tattoo on your arm or leg it probably wouldn't bother them.

Anyway it looks like you've made the right decision now, well apart from getting a NUFC one.

good advice, i also know of a couple of people with "straight edge" tattoos who now drink more than i do.

I use to really like tattoos till i moved to australia, seen some absoloute shockers since ive been over here.

Ahha.. doberman too thin and not cute looking IMO, go for a fatty bull dog or a silky-terrier.
