  • Super Sunday in Vancouver

The only thing that really matters here is icehockey. The city and the country is obsessed with the 3 mega clashes for today : Russia vs Czech Republic, Sweden vs Finland and between all this Canada vs US. The weather has been fantastic (it should be called the Spring games),Holland is doing great as well but today is icehockey day...and it' s really nice to visit your family during such events
I saw that going differently in my mind

Nice weather, eh. Welcome to Vancouver.

One slight correction, the only thing that matters here is hockey. We don't call it ice hockey in Canada. Canadians, in general, think that there's only one real kind of hockey (which takes place on ice), there's no need to point out the obvious.

Shame Canada lost to the States. I guess that means we'll have to thump the crap out of Germany to get back into the hunt for a medal.

yep, Shame Canada lost last night, I was gutted. They need to step up against the Germans to be ready for Russia in the quarter finals...But to go there and grab a win, Mike Babcock will have to stop messing his trios arounds. How on Earth can you bench Jarome Iginla when you struggle to scorE?? How can you let him on the so-called 4th line? That's nuts....

So far, I haven't been impressed at all by his coaching...

Just heading downstairs to watch the USA/Finland game, and will be watching the Canada/Slovakia game later today.

        Go Canada.

Another Canada/USA gold medal game in the making?

Just great to see this kind of celebrations. Smoking cigars, drinking beer after a gold medal, they look so untouchable... I can't understand the commotion about all this, it' s like in the NBA after winning the championship, Michael Jordan used to celebrate in the same style...Anyway the Canadian men still have a lot to do to have their gold medal on Sunday.

I agree, it seems like this has been blown out of proportion.

The do-gooders are worried about the women players setting a 'bad example' for young girls who look up to them.

For me, I wish more girls smoked cigars and drank (a LOT) of beer 'cause then I might stand a chance as I'm definitely at least a 12-pint guy (in other words it takes at least 12 pints in a girl before I start to look a little better)
