  • Which mobile phone would you choose?

I'm looking to buy a new mobile in the next month or so. My Nokia N95 8GB has served me well over the last few years, but i feel now as if it's time for a change, and after many hours of research on the web i have found two that really appeal to me. Both are touchscreens, something i have never had experience of using before.

The first is the Nokia N900 HERE.

The main attraction of this handset is that it's great for web browsing, has adobe flash player 9.4, is able to multitask at least 20 apps at the same time, & aside from that has a decent sized screen. Texting & browsing the web would be the main reasons for using this handset when out & about.

The second handset is the Samsung S8500 HERE, which is not released till the end of April. I have only owned a Samsung phone once before, which was many years ago now. This phone boasts a (SUPER AMOLED) capacitive touchscreen, which to my knowledge no other phone at present has. Apart from the screen the build quality of the phone looks to be of (very good quality) which is important to me too!

At the moment i'm more drawn to the Samsung.

If you had the choice between the two which one would you go for?

May I add something to the mix? Ever think about the HTC Desire? Andriod 2.1 software, potential iphone beater and the 3.7 inch touch screen is just gorgeous. And it plays flash movies.

Ive got the N95 also, really good fone and a decent video/picture.
as for the N900, the phone is great, my sister has it and its got some good stuff on it. real nice pic and vid quality.
If practice makes perfect, and no one's perfect, then why practice?

I have always found it to take good videos too, but not as good when taking photos from my experience..

It's just never appealed to me that's all.

I have a Samsung Omnia at the moment. It's not bad. But the firmware is full of bugs. And Samsung's support regarding firmware upgrades is... well, not very good to say the least. The costumer is being used as a Beta-tester for their OS and firmware. The technology might be superb. But the software isn't. So no more Samsung for me in the future.
Why don't you have a closer look at HTC as Ken147 suggested ? The Hardware is state of the art and the software is well supported. My favourite would be the HTC HD2.

ok no worries but i would recommend the iphone, if u get a chance check it out. i was against getting the iphone but once i seen what it can do i was able to see past the size or it and got myself one.

Android is awsome! I personally would suggest getting an android phone. There are regular updates and it does everything an iPhone does
There are a couple of new ones coming out in April aswell.
