Beauty contest are for peer pressure and future sales.
Can you honestly see todays young girls aiming for figures like this?
Ten years later they would probably die to look that good.
She's entering a competition to be judged on her looks, and that's all people are doing. If she didn't want that then she shouldn't have entered. If she were running for PM then her weight would be irrelevant and to judge her on that basis would be wrong, but she's not. She voluntarily entered into the superficial, soulless world of beauty contests. Let her learn her lesson.
Could be a good initiative into changing society's attitude & pressure about what is considered beautiful.
To be a model is just unhealthy...

It's a positive thing that she has the confidence to enter, but the contest itself is hideous. Attitudes should change but the media is not about to help with that. Magazines will keep taking actresses that are insanely pretty to begin with, airbrushing every blemish, giving them bigger breasts and smaller waists and marketing their products at young girls. You have to make them feel imperfect or they won't buy stuff.
This girl in this competition won't make any difference. Her presence seems more of a novelty than anything else and, call me cynical, but I suspect she was selected for the final simply to gain publicity for the event. Realistically, does anyone think she has even a chance of winning this thing?
I'm glad she doesn't feel like she has to have surgery to be accepted, but no one, under any circumstances should enter beauty pageants. They have no redeeming quality.
Shes alright , prettier than a lot of the ghost-like , praying mantis type models we are used to. And more likely a better breeder aswell But still ten a penny, you can walk around a town on any sunny day and see hundreds of girls of the same standard and better, whats the big deal?
If I were the president of the world and if freedom of choice meant nothing, I'd ban these beauty contests in the blink of an eye. Meat markets, pea-brains with "world peace" as their only ideal.
As far as this contestant is concerned, best of luck. She'll need it.
