Plymouth Argyle are the most remote team! We are closer to France than our local Championship side this year. Also are local derby aren't even in the same country, Cardiff City.

Anyone watched football last night? Euro 2008 qualifiers? There was one remarkable game (no, not Latvia vs Spain, we lost 0-2, but in our group) - Denmark vs. Sweden. The danes were trailing 0-3 by the 27th minute in the match. Then Denmark came back to level 3-3, and only a few minutes before the end the game was abandoned because the local supporter attacked the referee http://youtube.com/watch?v=pZ2t2YFCuGU

Looks like Sweden will get a win and we'll get a very angry danish team here in Riga next Wednesday

Manic scenes at the end. I think the result should have stood at 3-3. A pity that one nutter can ruin it for the majority.

I watched it too. Bad enough that FIFA employ referees that think the rules of play are different in Europe than in Britain and publically say so but it's absolutely stupid that they can declare the result as 3-0 to Sweden punishing a whole country for the actions of one supporter.

They could have done what they did at Leeds when a similiar incedent happened when Ipswich scored an equalising goal. In that match the ref took the players off and started the match an hour later with the three minutes remaining which would have been the same plus Sweden had a penalty and therefore probably would have won so 3-3 wouldn't have been fair.

What a game! England U21's took the lead after 39mins before Holland U21s equalised in the last minute. 1-1 was the final score after 120 mins and the penaltys began. I have never seen anything quite like it, after 15 penalties each Holland finally won 13-12. Incredible.
