Actually, if you translate it, it means Jan born from Vennegoor or Hesselink. Either Vennegoor or Hesselink was the father. Not very pretty is it? They just could have called him, Jan The B*st*rd! Would have saved the scots some pennies! (This one has been told on the Beeb Forum before, just for the record)
