If they paid 18m for Rio Ferdinard and similar money for Carrick and 25 million ish for Rooney, Whilst i dont agree with these silly transfer fees, Ronaldo must be worth 50 million of any clubs money. Shevchenko went to Chelses for alleged 30m + and hasnt delivered. One thing i do like about United is whilst this year and last year they had lots of striker injuries, they still have SCHOLES, GIGGS, CARRICK, FERDINARD, EVRA, RONALDO etc etc who can all score, how many teams have non strikers who can score as well as they do..

Shevchenko just is a Milan player (or rather Milan had play style that suited him perfectly), that's why he can't play in other teams as good as in Milan

...good point, Carrick was brill last night, and to be honest can't think off hand of many teams who do have non-strikers, who can score as well as them....[no doubt, will be proved wrong though....]

Very good spelling Blondie (very impressed), he won his 20th title defence last week.
Shevvy did score last night, with Essien completing the win, again am glad another english team won. It does amaze me if you put Man Utd/Liverpool and Chelsea together, there is probably only a handful of actual english players, doesnt bode well for the future if english players are not coming up through the ranks

Yeah and C. Ronaldo rules, the Master himself played brillantly. As he did also with Portugal against Belgium las month ... (we lost 4-0 there )
