Well as long as he goes without a massive payoff (ie he resigns) then yes he should go, but for god sake dont sack him and have to pay him millions

They should let him keep the job for the first half of the Euro qulifiers and see how he perfroms, If things are not working maybe he'll do the right thing and resign if not they can sack him, or maybe he'll learn from his mistakes and go on to win the euro's

Why do u think that the english team is so good, lets face it, heskey was good in the first game yet he couldnt find a hole in a barrel o pussies....lampard only plays well when surrounded by class players and rooney is so over-rated its frightening, it would be hard to give pass marks to any english player and yet i dont blame the players to a certain extent...i find myself partly blaming the media and the hype that they were even getting mentioned as potential favourites for the world cup. Italy is a prime example, in the 80s and 90s the italians like the english league now are using blank cheques and paying over the top wages to over rated players, amazingly osullivan made 200 grand for a years competitions earnings as one of the top snooker players yet these so called world class players can make that in a couple of weeks, the english team of 66 im guessing were hungry enough not only to play for the country but personal achievement, if the likes of terry can get paid over 100 grand a week and do everybodys wife then why would he want to do anything for anybody,

I think we just have to accept the fact that England were simply not good enough for the tournament.

I bet Steve McClarren is feeling pleased with himself.

Manager is the best England has had for a long time.
This is by far the poorest group of players to pick from for the manager.
Virtually no young talent getting games in the Prem. and the established ones have mainly had a poor season. Roy Keane is pretty much bang on with his comments about the whole issue.
Look back to the 80's and 90's when England had players like Butcher, Shilton, Wilkins, Linaker, Gascoigne, Hoddle, Robson, etc. Nobody in the squad now comes close to these guys and there were many more left out that would be first picks now.

Look at the skill level from teams like Chile, Mexico, Japan and S. Korea, you could hardly notice who played where as they all were so good on the ball and mainly had the ability to find a team mate, not the punt up the park that England favoured.

For people to look to Joe Cole and Crouch to inspire they must be crazy, both are average at best although Cole once had promise.

If young English players don't get enough starts in the Premier League then I think Capello should seriously start looking at players playing regularly in either the Championship or other countries as they will be full of confidence and have some form.
I just don't believe you need to be playing at the highest level to play international football, a good player is good wherever he plays.
Some of the players in the World Cup don't play for the top teams in the big five leagues but you couldn't tell by watching them.
Many people will still want the John Terry's and the Gerrard's but both were poor before the event so it isn't a surprise they were the same for England.

This section doesn't even show on the main page anymore.
Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman

Even Capello cannot make silk purses out of pigs ears ..... FACT.

It is time for the so called "World Class Players", to learn how to play football and stop running around like headless chickens.
