One of my mum's bowling mates looks like Stephen Hendry in gay and hyper...

As for exciting: I joined a snooker club! *bounce* *smile* Now I just need the keys and I can practice virtually whenever I want to! The cue I played with was OK too, so I'll hold the buying of my own cue for a little longer.
Das war ein FLUKE! Ein Glückstreffer!

Sure you will, April! All you need is a fine rest and a lot of Sun! Hope you recover quickly!

        • Hi everybody and April, you are hopefully better this morning?
Cold-front here as well. It snows in Jerusalem after we had 30 C just 4 days ago.

            • I attended a very good seminar this morning, got some great last-minute tips for exam preparation and confirmed I'm a multi-sensory learner.

Well I also got a major headache, I wonder how I'll manage to make it through 6 hours of teaching this evening!
Gee I'm so glad that at least I don't have to work tomorrow...

              • Just lurking out of my pit three feet under a skyscraper of books after receiving the email notification of your posting, Nina. What does being a multi-sensory learner exactly mean?
Gratulations for attending a very good seminar as those are rare and get well soon! Maybe a small dose of TSF helps.

                • A dose of TSF always helps! (Ok, the aspirin had sth to do with it too... )

I'll be happy to explain sometime, got to rush off to my little learners now.

You got notification of my post? Hmm...

                    • Nina, just the general thread subscription notification.
Would be curious to learn more about the multi-sensory learner - sounds like some Peter Parker skills to me, sort of .
April, miss you and the forum, too. Hopefully talk soon! Right now I don't even have the time to follow the upcoming threads - and they all seem so interesting these days.

                          • This is all strange here. Couldn't access the forum for a couple of days, got a reply notification for this thread but the original reply isn't there. The last one's from March 16. I feel like a ghost. And I can see people..
                            Is there anybody out there?

We had been on a ghost copy of this at www.yrush.ca the last days.

You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman
