I found out today that during the school year that is about to begin I will be working Saturdays too, which means it is absolutely impossible to travel to the UK to attend a(ny) snooker tournament, even for a weekend.
This dream will have to wait (yet) another year.

i was thinking something along Rotty's lines... u're an English teacher, what better than a field trip to the UK for the children to grasp the British accent, preferably on a weekend in December or January (UK's or Masters)??

Right. Yes! That's what I'll do! A field trip so that the children can learn more about the country than just the language, sth that will give them an insight to the culture and mentality of the British, snooker!! Forget the trips to the Houses of Parliament and Madame Tussaud's, this will be a trip to remember!!
