  • I can imagine Monique!
In Greece you have to learn to live with the earthquakes... I remember hearing that phrase from the seismologists a lot after the big one in 1981.
Fortunately yesterday's quake didn't cause damage, so life is back to normal today.

    • by coincidence i was in athens for that one - strange experience when you are a kid - we felt very little damage but when we went out of the area we were in and looked around it was brutal - looked like beiruit !! it happened again just after i visited in 1999 - i am suprised they let me back in!

              • Jokes aside, it seems a good idea to me. You could visit during the Carnival, the atmosphere is fantastic - and Dionysian! The weather should be good in February.

                • I wouldn't describe it as exciting but I recently lost a bluetooth GPS and spent a good few hours worrying about where it had gone. It had just vanished - like what had happened to the 2 governmentr CDs with 3 million names and addresses on.

So, after looking on ebay I put a bid in for the same device thinking mine had disappeared for good. After about an hour after placing the bid I bloody found it.
To make matters worse I couldn't cancel the bid as it was within 12 hours of the end of the auction and no other clown decided to bid so I'm now going to end up with 2 GPSs.

How and why does this sort of thing happen?

Indeed. And we love the lamb we eat on Easter Monday even more!
But I think the Orthodox Easter coincides with the World Championship this year...

                        • Tell me about it! Of course there's always the online option... but you can't do both things at the same time...

Back on topic: my first day back to work today, after 2 weeks off!

                              • im off to play pool for about 4 hours today did yesterday as well and won 8-3 and then 6-3 and won £5 lol even with a brand new cue that was delivered on friday and had only 10 minutes work done to the tip with sand paper

the 6-3 games i was 3-0 down then went to the loo came back and smashed him with 3 blacks in bottom right pocket then 3 blacks in the middle left pocket he wasn't impressed as we go every monday and each week i win most and also he's the one who decides to bet and has never one im about £100 up in a month and a half between him and another mate and not lost a penny yet

the other guy who i beat for money was taking the mick out of my size as im only 5 foot 3 he gave me half a cue and said it was the right size for me even though that day i was 6-1 up when he said it i said lets play £1 a ball left on the table he said lets make it more intresting and make it a £5 a ball so over the next 4 games i won £30 and he's the one im going with today but i bet his girlfriend has told him not to bet this time as there saving to get a place together and she wasnt happy the next day after him losing the £30 lol
