Ladbrokes.com signs up Steve Davis

The online poker offering from Ladbrokes.com is offering customers the chance to go head-to-head against six-time World Champion snooker player Steve Davis in a series of monthly bounty tournaments.
London-born Davis is one of the snooker world’s greatest living players and will be appearing once a month at Ladbrokes.com beginning on August 18 from half-past seven o’clock in the evening London time.
Ladbrokes.com revealed that the ‘Ginger Magician’ will also join some cash tables and take part in a sit-and-go tournament after being eliminated from the bounty competitions with the player knocking him out being rewarded with a cash prize of £200.
“Steve will play in a special bounty tournament at the start of the evening so get those snooker and poker questions ready to fire at him in the chat,” read a statement from Ladbrokes.com.
“After Steve is eliminated, he will join some cash tables and play in a sit-and-go tournament where we'll set some questions in the chat and reward some Ladbrokes.com Poker Cruise Tournament tickets, which you can use to try and win a £4,000 Ladbrokes.com Poker Cruise setting sail in January of 2011.
“Remember to turn on your poker room messages. We will send system messages to let you know which cash or sit-and-go tables Steve joins and the successful players who join the table will get a £13 Cruise Steps Tournament ticket credited to their accounts. We have 50 tickets to give away so don't miss the action at the tables and in the chat.”
Davis is set to compete at Ladbrokes.com under the pseudonym ‘5K2’ and players can take part in the bounty event for an initial buy-in of £5.50 with rebuys set at half the price. The online poker domain announced that one add-on will also be available for those who want to maximise their chances of finishing in the money while it will also be giving away a pair of tickets for a top snooker tournament to the competitor finishing in sixth spot each month.
