I saw Turbulence, a thriller with Ray Liotta and a small role for Brendan Gleeson. It was quite average, but funny in some parts.

I watched "Borat: Cultural Learnings of America for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Kazakhstan" on the cinema today. It was absolutely hilarious, well worth to see. The only problem was that quite a few people in audience laughed so loud and often it was disturbing. On the other hand I laughed so much myself I didn't really care!

The last film I watched was Mr Hollands Opus. Richard Dreyfuss plays a music teacher called......Mr Holland. Excellent film and not the first time I've seen it.

Yesterday I watched Trainspotting and I, Robot. For completely different and utterly unrelated reasons, I liked both quite a lot.

I watched the "Dreamers" for the first time (on TV). It was said to be the "Last tango in Paris" of the '00s and I had high expectations but to be honest I didn't much like it. I know "LtiP" had quite an impact when it came out but this is not the '70s any more...

I found Trainspotting very disturbing and could never decide if it was glorifying or otherwise the use of heroin.

I, Robot is an excellent film but so is everthing with Will Smith. He's in a little known film called Six Degrees Of Seperation which co-stars the wonderful Stockard Channing. Its the only film I've seen him play completely straight and the film is far from a comedy. It really shows of his acting ability.

"Six degrees of separation is the hypothesis that anyone on Earth can be connected to any other person on the planet through a chain of acquaintances with no more than five intermediaries".

With I, Robot, you have to ignore the fact that it's based on Asimov's books, because it butchers them. If you do that it's a fantastic action flick.

Trainspotting, eh, it's one of those drugs movies, but the humour was awesome in it. Begbie was the best.

Hollywood Ending, I am not a Woody Allen fan but this one made me laugh.

I want to see "Paris je t' aime" at the cinema, has anyone seen it? I'd like to get some comments before I go...

You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman
