The Nonsense Thread

In Britain, I suppose basketball is not a popular sport..
I used to watch swimming a lot more, but when my favourite swimmers ( Popov, Hoogenband, Thorpe, Huegill,.. ) retired, I stopped following the events.
I've only heard of Huegill's comeback a couple of days ago, two years later, though : /

Unfortunately, swimming is not a sport that has longevity in it (see Ian Thorpe), although some exceptions are here and there (see Alexander Popov)

Talking of swimming, in Sheffield at the same time as the WC, there was some international paralympic swimming event and I saw Eleanor Simmonds at the hotel!

I love football, too, but the only thing I can't understand is that there are too many people complaining about the length of snooker matches, yet they just can sit and watch a guaranteed 90 minutes of action, generally with little knowledge of what the game will bring, until the start.. Perhaps, they should approach snooker with the same demeanour

I can suggest you to keep an eye on swimming races, because they can really be exciting, especially if it's a short distance race

And Eleanor Simmonds has already received an MBE? Wow, that's really a great honour for a young person

Well that's great I'm glad Eurosport Turkey are doing a good job, I wish the WS would do the same with their live scoring

I rarely swim in pools either but that's just because I live right by the sea so it's easier for me and free!

I hope you get swimming some time soon, it's so liberating

Although I live by sea as well, conditions are not good enough for swimming, sadly..
We should do a better job at keeping our seas clean
Until then, I may have a shot at pool and free my tightened soul
