There has been some good suggestions so far April, it depends on what you want from your holiday.
If you want some warm sun then somewhere like Portugal, Greek Islands or Spain might be nice.
Or, if you wanna watch some snooker, come over to the UK, catch the Grand Prix then travel around for a few days, there are lots of nice places to see here other than London (Masters)

Mm, I am totally lost here. I was supposed to be singing in Spain at that time, but now I am left with two weeks of nothing I don't think I will be able to get two trips to UK so soon one after another, I am not earning millions yet

Which kind of holiday making do you prefer? Pure laziness or a bit of knowlegde? In that case Madrid or other places in Spain would be a good idea. For the Prado one needs weeks to get through. When I am there they must narcotize me in the Goya rooms and then carry me away before they close. I wouldn't leave on my own will. .

Hey, while I was writing the above post, you were mentioning Spain. There must be a deeper sense in it.

It may as well mean I am not destined to go to Spain this year

If you want a bit of history along with the fun, Greece is the perfect place. Apart from the Acropolis (since you're bound to get to Athens before changing to any other place) you can visit archaeological sights or museums practically anywhere, the prices are much lower than in the high season and you can always party till the morning...

Yes, that would be great. Always been interested in those ancient cultures, so... thanks for that! Haven't been to Greece anyway, do you think it's better to go to the islands or stay mainland?

Hmm... for late October and early November... perhaps not the islands... unless you don't mind not being able to swim in the sea and sunbathe but you just want to enjoy the picturesque landscapes.
I think I would choose one of the lakes, like Plastira lake in central Greece, or perhaps a mountain destination... but that depends on what you want to do on your holidays.
To be honest when I start thinking of the options I get confused myself...

Personally I think most people choose too holidays that are too mainstream for my taste. Spain, Greece, everyone's done that! I think one should more often dare to do something different, go off the beaten track a little. Remember, it doesn't have to be flashy, expensive or exhausting in order to be memorable.

My point is: do something different! Whats the meaning of repeating the things millions of other tourists have done before? Spend two weeks alone on a lighthouse on a deserted island! (I've done that, and it was one of the most memorable holidays I've ever had) Rent a car and drive to the north of scandinavia! Visit places like Rovaniemi or Kirkenes! Go see people in places where the charter tours never go!

You don't have that many vacaions in your life. Make sure you get the most out of them.

Maybe I'm alone in this opinion?

Luckily, I don't drive a car And bike in november... in Rovaniemi... nah, we will have snow in October, it will be even more in North.
