@ Nina
Hi Nina, it is nice to read about how much you love your country and how vehemently you defend tourists to southern countries. You should apply for a job in one of these tourist boards. .
But I think, Hege didn't want to offend anybody. He just said what he thinks of the behaviour of s o m e tourists.
As far as I am concerned I love the so called cultural journeys. You can have them in southern countries and in the silence of a lighthouse, depending on your definition what "culture" is. To me a scenic drive belongs to it.
I never implied Hege meant to offend anyone. Neither did I mean to be censorious. I just disagreed with his viewpoint, that's all.
As for the "apply for a job in one of these tourist boards", I'll take it as a joke which no doubt you intended it to be and I'll stop talking about holiday destinations. Each part of the world has something unique to offer and surely April will choose what is best for her.

Simply means you are missing out on many great things if you don't visit Scotland at some point.
Could say that about a lot of countries I suppose, but then again I have'nt been to many so can't comment on that.
Well, I didn't say I will not visit Scotland, but looks like it won't be soon. The only thing I could do there at the end october would be to see some snooker, because it's at that time, but... well, I don't know.
Well, a bit of a problem here.
I've got two weeks at the end of October/ start of November, don't think I would be very happy to enjoy Latvian weather at that time, so where would you recommend me to go let's say for a week? Somewhere in Europe...
April, you should start by going to Aberdeen if you can get there in time for the Sunday 29th.
