Mike Woolridge Ban

Just a note to say that I can fully support the Mike W ban. Lately it looks like Mike has been "losing the plot". His tirade about e-bayers was extremely stupid. A rant of four letter words can never be the right way to express opinions on an open forum. I'm in no way a shrinking violet but I found his posts offensive. Maybe pressure of work has got to Mike. If so take care Mike and get well soon. Get back to making quality cues.
I've considered a MW cue in the past but on the basis of recent events I wouldn't buy one on a point of principal. Sorry Mike.

We all get peeved from time to time fella and sometimes forums are the places that people seem to 'open up' if you like!...

Yeah, mw did flaunt the rules of 'swearing' a few times but hey, so what. would'nt make me feel 'personal' about him, and it defo would'nt stop me ordering a cue from because of it..(more to do with his prices he gives on vcm stops me)...I swear more than that in one sentence most the time mun...(only joking)..well sort of...

And you know what mw is like, he don't mince his words and i'm sure you've read enough to know that in the past...So............................

what's the principal you wouldn't buy a cue, if it's Mike's swearing how would you ever buy anything from anyone,because let's be honest, who do you know that doesn't swear.

I think the ban's fair & he was due, Mike will accept that himself.......plus its sends the right message to everyone else.

Thing is he was clearly upset by the negative feedback he got left when he'd done all he could & we've all experienced that in life sometimes you just can't win & there's an injustice to that.

But you have to accept things & get on with it which we all do in different ways, he just got a bit carried away i think.

Other thing is Mikes sense of humour won't be to everyones liking but it doesn't bother me its just his style of banter, i don't use the sort of language Mike uses but no doubt many on the forum do in daily life it just doesn't come through on the forum which is quite right.

We're all different & entitled to our opinion i'd just look at it that Mike cares about what he does which is a good thing so was angry by the negative feedback & obviously not used to complaints...........

Regardless though if your reading this Mike your the newly crowned " Bad Boy " of TSF and no doubt loving the attention........you old attention seeker you!!

Flame The principal is that on an open forum where there's loads of other folks around the world reading the posts then you need to be careful of your language. Not just swearing but other things as well. Around the world certain things are acceptable and certain things are not. I can swear with the best of them but I wouldn't post it on an open forum. Its not just Mike's latest post that would put me off buying a cue from him. There's other things in the customer service area which would lead me to go elsewhere. Mike would probably say well f**** off then but that's Mike! No skin off my nose.

I do not know mike nor ever bought a cue from him; but judge on his posts and quality of work he is a man of quality and a bit of a perfectionist, which is hard to find.

i agree, i hope he comes back. We lost Noel because of something similar. The rules are the rules, serve your time and get on with i'd say

Ive had nothing but good experience when dealing with Mike and will continue to do so .

His rant tells me one vital thing that he his passionate and takes real pride in his work , whether that be making a top notch cue or selling a tip .

And long may that continue , there are not many people who care so much about the service they provide . .

I,ve heard people call others wa***** etc on here and not get banned , so lets have some consistency .

JR got banned for just repeating what Noel said , which was way too harsh in my opinion .

Was watching Mike's post's carefully as i was hoping that ferret would be consistant, & he was, thus showing there's not one rule for the important people & another for the rest of us. Shame it had to happen as i like reading Mike's posts, but rules are rules
