  • Shot clock in other sports

are there any other sports where you think that an introduction of the shot clock would "spice up" the game, perhaps for a one off tournament?

or even any other ideas like the shot clock that could be incorporated into another sport, or indeed to snooker?

    ?

When a player gets snookered and fouls, the other player could have two shots allowed, without having to pot the first shot. The player snookered would have to make a real attempt to get out of the snooker and we could abolish the miss rule

Seriously, I dont think there are any changes needed in snooker.

Edit: Maybe a shot clock for Ryder Cup??

No. We leave it as it is. We are winning!

                That's true, Paul!

Maybe make the (snooker) table more square?

i would NOT say the reason why were winning though is because we can take our time (within reason).

                    Golf. no shot clock.

I have not had any comments about the snooker situation. A snooker. The opponent has to think twice of just playing it safe without hitting it as 2 shots will be awarded to the one who layed the snooker. If it would be an impossible snooker, its just the reward the one would get for laying the difficult snooker.

It has nothing to do with me being a snooker specialist

I must say I'm not overly excited about the twoshot-idea. Sounds a bit weird to me. On the other hand, UK 8 ball has it, so why not?

Basketball has shot clock And basically it was invented so that one team couldn't keep the ball in it's hands 'infinitely' but rather attack.
