One thing that is important to think about is battery time and quality of the screeen. And also don't forget to buy a screenshield as soon as possible. Otherwise, you'll get a damaged screen after only a few weeks and that's not very funny. I'd say WriteShield is the best one http://www.pocketpctechs.com/main~un...riteshield.htm
It's one of those mini computers, like a palmtop. The acronym means Personal Digital Assistant. Some of them come with cellphone functionality, like the Nokia Communicator.
It had the windows os on it, so I could build and read Word, Excel, Outlook and use Windows Media Player. I couldn't browse the web, otherwise I would probably still use it.
To turn this thread into something snooker related, I use an HTC Diamond and have written software using the .Net Compact Framework to enable me to enter fixture bookings and results and upload them to a website for access by all members of our league.
I find it extremely convenient being able to watch a league match and instantly upload the result and updated league table to our website using my PDA. Couldn't get by without it now.
