Correct. Directed by Dalton Trumbo who also wrote the screenplay from his own original 1939 novel. Probably the best anti war film from the counter culture years. Heavy on metaphor and starring Jason Robards, Timothy Bottoms and Donald Sutherland as Jesus.

don't know that one - maybe too recent for me - i was a film student mate
Well its an oldish boxing film (90's) about the life of a young English boy growing up under apartheid in South Africa and it is a truly great film and a good book too it is called The Power of One.
