Not sure why that has happened but it was nothing intentional by any of the mod or admin team, post counts are calculated by the forum software.
I just had a look as I thought it may be something to do with the banned members group but other banned member have not been effected so I will look into it.

I wondered why I hadnt seen him post for ages. Truly saddened and shocked by this! RIP Noel and condolences to his family and friends.
A unique, clever and funny poster that brightened up the board no end. I loved all his comical posts especially where he accused my dad of having tourettes on a thread about strange traits people have whilst playing snooker but the one that stuck with me was his very personal and moving tribute about his dad. Inspirational post!

I was shocked when I read this post. I met Noel on TSF shortly after joining in 2009. I visit Toronto frequently and we made plans to meet for some snooker. He honed his skills at the Annex Billiards, which turned out to be only a few blocks from where my daughter lives. In our first meeting he proudly introduced me to his MW cue. A while back he lent the cue and had it returned damaged. He truly was heart broken.
Over the last two years we managed to play snooker about a dozen times. The hours spent with Noel were always entertaining. During our time together neither of us shot very well. We attributed this to, our conversations occupying too much of our attention. We were to meet March 4, but regrettably I was unable to make it. In our last email he informed me that he was still playing snooker, but with a different mental state. His sense of humour never left him and with his friends on here, I know that he would not mind me sharing part of our last email. I have copied some of his email below.
It kicks me in the butt to communicate not the best news, which I tend to procrastinate over, especially to friends I don't want to worry. In early December my ex-business partner , my identical twin brother David was diagnosed with Stage IV lung cancer. As he put when asked, "There is no Stage V". Being twins I shot off to my doctor even though feeling healthy with none of David's symptomatic signs. X-rays. CT scans. MRIs. PET scans. Lung biopsy. They found a small tumor in my right lung. I had broncoscopy surgery prior to a half lung removal, to check on a snippet of lymph nodes. In one of six they found minute traces of cancer cells. No operation. Nail the ******* with chemotherapy and radiation to stop any further metastasies in it's tracks. The day I went in the In door, January 3, David went out the Out door. He died just before I arrived. Right. Now I have to finish the same job David couldn't, to honour him and save my own life. I have been doing a daily regimen of chemo and radiation for 7 weeks. I have gone from 190 to 160. I lost all my hair. But I have practiced snooker every day. I am hitting the ball better than ever and the mindlessness of "just put the ball in the pocket stupid" has had an incredible therapeutic Mike. Visualization. Red ball is good cell therapy. Black ball is bad cancer cell. I am approaching ODSB for a subsidy to finally get a cue, like others get canes and walkers. LOL. I am weak but unbowed and a fighter. As my friend, I think you know, Khizzy said, "Cancer picked on the wrong guy!". As for playing... I would really hope so my friend... I have serious pre-operative testing on Mar. 1.... lung removal Mar. 14. I'm sure I can squeeze ya in Mike. LOL.
RIP Noel, you will be missed. My heart goes out to his family.

Noel had a special style as a forum member. I was shocked to hear the sad news. We did have some exchanges on Facebook till recently about music and other interests. Pity we could not prolong it. He will be missed immensely by his family. I want to say farewell here, as I met Noel first on this forum.
Noel RIP

Can't believe ferret has ignored a few members calls for some sort of 'tribute' on the forum for noel, sadly it seems to have fallen on deaf ears...
Even though it's plainly obvious that Noel had many friends on TSF ...

What have we here? Well.... As astrologers would put it, we have two fiery "Sagittarians", products of two very different cultures. One, Noel, a flamboyant, 100% artistic personality who has never been afraid of thinking, saying out loud or drawing what he was thinking, always playing with (and laughing at most) ideas, words, and images.
The other, Ferret, creative and active himself but thinking that his creative nature has to be kept under strict control, maybe even tuned down (if not entirely concealed), that he has somehow missed something and has mountains to climb to reach what he sometimes may even doubt he could or should reach. Aware of the yearning not so sure of the way. Site-design is one of his self-expressions, journalism is another (if he only allowed himself to write what and how he feels like not what and how he thinks others expect him to!)
Both proud, both a bit stubborn. Personality conflict? Not so sure. It was more a misunderstanding (and in fact, I believe that most conflicts appear due to not really knowing the other party). As I said on the other thread, Noel would have never accepted anything but sincere tributes (if he had accepted any!). An official RIP message can’t possibly mean more than what we, his friends, have written on these two threads. Let’s not create a war here especially as I like to think that Noel is now at peace.
He loved snooker. We all love snooker. Snooker can help us forgive, be more flexible and tolerant, and overcome real or false personal differences.Winner of the 2009 UK Championship Lucky Dip

When I first started cue making I had some help from Dan Shelton and Chatlag to make me some cue badges which I still use to this day.
Noel at one point emailed me and asked me if I would like him to design a new badge for me. He asked me many questions and we talked for a while about what I wanted, why I started cue making and what I wanted to achieve and things like that.
A while later, he sent me an email in which he made a very nice animation presentation explaining his concepts behind the badge he designed for me. It was not just a drawing but an animated presentation stating why he wanted the badge to look the way he has designed it, and it was just amazing.
He never once asked me for anything in return.
I had no idea about how to make cue badges so Noel said he could find me a manufacturer to make the badges exactly as he had visualized them. I did not realy want to bother him but he insisted.
Well, soon after that, Noel went into chemo.
His daughter was very kind to send me a personal message about her dad's passing away. It has been many days since I received that message but to be honest I am still not too sure how to take it.
I was looking through his little animation and the badge design just now.
I miss Noel.Last edited by poolqjunkie; 27 March 2011, 08:39 AM.

I'd hate to oversimplify but how typical of Noel!
Very telling facts, Poolqjunkie. Thanks for sharing them.
I hope you'll be able to have the badge made the way he designed it.Winner of the 2009 UK Championship Lucky Dip

Rest in peace, noel.Robbo's potting is so good he doesn't need to bother with positional play like the rest of the players. He laughs in the face of those who spend hours on the practice table perfecting their cue ball control! ~ Forman
