IE. Tried and trusted more or less. Well at least I know where i am with it.

I've heard firefox is supposed to be better but I'm so used to IE now I cant be bothered to change.

Tried netscape navigator but it installed loads of other stuff that i didnt want too without any choice in the matter - so i just unistalled the whole lot and am sticking with IE.

I prefer firefox over IE, and certainly having a browser to hand that isn't IE is essential to building a website, but I admit I havent tried any others apart from Opera, and that was years ago.

One thing that irritates me about FF is this bug it has whereby it gradually eats up CPU, eventually up to 100% if I leave any sites open with flash running (half the sites on the internet these days). Until they fix that I'm tempted to look for a third way, but it's certainly not enough to drive me back to IE.

I use both IE and FF from time to time, but prefer IE better. I find that my IE opens faster then FF, thats why I use it more. Another major reason I use IE alot is oftern I type in web address while browsing my files, so it jumps to IE stright, not sure I can configure it with FF.

I dont' really like the tab windows feature before, until I kinda got used to it with FF, but since IE 7 has this feature now, so there is no advantages for FF.

I think most ppl uses FF because, tabbed browsing(ie7 has it), and security(I can live update), and possibiliy add-ons(which i dont' use much)

(the fact that I hate Microsoft doesn't help my opinion)
I know alot of ppl like tabs and alot don't, I'm not sure about others, but the reason I dont' like it is because I oftern open many web pages and programs at the same time, now i can go from a program i'm running to any webpage in 1 click from taskbar, where as with tabbed browsing you have to click on ur explorer and go to the page, thats 2 clicks!!!

For those sites that open a new windows with every link or click, I have to say tab browsing is better, but there aren't many sites designed like that. I oftern switch to FF if I know I'm going to one of these sites.

I think it's the little things I find it useful/annoying that determined what I like.

and also I don't liked Microsoft either, but I still use their software...

The two things I like most about Firefox are the bookmarks toolbar (1 click to get to the snooker forum!) & that it displays webpages correctly. I'm too lazy to get the most out of shortcuts, tabbed browsing, extensions, etc., although the world cup one I had was great. Popped up with a box every time someone scored.

Firefox and Opera are both significantly less leaky than IE in terms of security, so I use FF most of the time. If it's only cosmetic problems you can easily skin firefox to resemble IE. But be warned, IE7 is so much a copy of FF that they should have a mozuilla copyright logo at the bottom!

I use Opera, Firefox and IE in order to make sure my site is compatible with all three.

And people who don't use Firefox now think that they have copied IE!
