      I find the run command useful as a shortcut. If you want to run an executable file (.exe) you can type the name of it in to the run command.

      i.e calculator - calc

      You can also open a DOS window by typing COMMAND if you want to perform disk maintainance, physical surface scan or partitioning and file/folder procedures.
