I have no idea whether such a thread has ever existed here before.
But a snooker lover is a sports enthusiast so I think it a must!

I watched a volleyball match between Greece and France for the FIVB Volleyball World Championships this morning. It's still round 1.
Our team was already 2 - 0 behind when I started watching actually, then played well and got a set but unfortunately lost in the end.
I hope we do well though, Greece has been doing very well in team sports in recent years...

Great thread Nina. Look forward for biathlon season to start contributing to it Hopefully I'll be able to watch a bit of volleyball too, love that game.

I like playing football Dislike watching some teams (enjoy watching Bristol Rovers )
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

I like football too, but I am not interested in all matches and all teams... My fav team is Olympiakos, the Piraeus team, crappy at the Champions' League qualifiers...

I also enjoy basketball, athletics, water sports, and I love gymnastics and ice skating. (Watching, not actually doing any of those, that goes without saying... )

I myself have played basketball (for 7 years), did some swimming, track and field, football, tennis. Like to do skiing (not alpine, just flat ) in winters now

I can't kick a ball straight although I used to love playing basketball but after breaking my wrist in a drunken fall I cant shoot the ball anymore. It also gets tired out quickly when playing the piano. I also used to love cross country running and sprinting but decided to concentrate on smoking instead.

                  Damn cigarettes and alcohol.

                    LOL! You're right of course!
I don't smoke or drink but my heart was never very strong so I was no good at athletics or swimming. I was too short for basketball or volleyball, so I only did a little gymnastics and aerobics when I was younger.
Now that I suffer from Carpal Tunnel Syndrome I don't think I could hold a cue for long either...

So I focus more on the sports I can watch rather than play.

First of all, I love skiing... but then, if you are Austrian, you have to. Not possible to avoid it here.

I also like watching football, tennis (only Men's though ), figure skating, ski jumping, swimming (again preferably the boys ), poker (if that is a sport???)... that's all I can think of at the moment.
