Are you suggesting that the deep poetic meaning at the end of my first effort is lost on you? Perhaps I can adjust the 2nd half a little:...

    A brilliant cueman, Davis –
    Extraordinarily famous –
    Grittily, happily,
    In-vin-ci-bly
    Just knocked loser McManus

    Nicely out, playing quite remarkably!
    Suddenly two up - victory!
    Winner x-traordinaire!
    Yay! Zabbadabadoo!

Teacher: "Give me a sentence beginning with 'I'."
        Little chasmmi: "I is..."
Teacher "No, chasmmi. You should say 'I am'!"
Little chasmmi: "I am a letter that I forgot to include in my sentence above."

The rule in English is "I after H, even before J."

It's 1am OK and I dont get to see English very often these days.

              • Well that's the best one yet!

When is Rambon going to deliver his verdict?

And just how did he score all these centuries when he was concentrating on the yellow?

                    Just kidding – fantastic, Sir!

                    • I think Rambon has forgotten
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

                        • Well having pondered, and read and re-read the entries, veryone deserves praise for their efforts.

There has to be a winner though, and it came down to a close run thing between Ginger Freak for the first entry, Davis_greatest for consistently high standard efforts and Chasmmi (when the I was eventually in the right place). The Statman would have been close too had he known his alphabet...

                          But the winner is.....

                          Chasmmi

                          Well done everyone
