Ah, dear lagermike! But I had thought that with your vast snooker knowledge, you might be able to remember more than two of the 100 major finals that Davis reached, where he did not take the trophy? Or were the memories of the World Finals of 1990, 1991, 1992, 1993 and 1994 clouding your recall? Or perhaps, over 22 years later, you are still thinking of the one from 1984?

Only someone with oodles of class would lose five consecutive world finals. A bit like the England cricket team, despite losing at the Adelaide Oval recently they broke the record for being the team to post the highest first innings score and then going on to lose.
Some might say these are records that people don't want, I say a record is a record..."And slowly and surely they drew their plans against us"

lagermike, I look forward to The Statman's return and I am sure that he will give you the point that you so richly deserve. We look forward to welcoming you to the bottom of the scoreboard. I had been wondering when you would finally join us - because I knew that you had been answering these questions so well in practice."If anybody can knock these three balls in, this man can."
David Taylor, 11 January 1982, as Steve Davis prepared to pot the blue, in making the first 147 break on television.

Am I allowed to ask a question Statman? Please?
If so, it's below.
If not, ignore it
ROUND 31:
With the following letters:
a, r, i, g, t, e, f, p, s, n
Write the longest word you can, not using any letter twice.
Points will be awarded to anyone who can write a longer, or equal length word to me.
P.S: If no one beats my word I get the pointBoris for PM!
