This is a 3 part question all based around mobile phone writing (without predictive texts.).

1) What is the longest word you can think of using just one button on the mobile?

2) What is the longest word you can think of using a maximum of one letter from each button. (eg you can use one of a, b or c and one of d, e or f etc.

3) Come up with a ten letter word which requires the most number ofbutton presses to type (eg c would be three presses)

The winner is the person who posts the highest cumulative total for the three combined.

2) There are a number of 8-letter words where each letter is from a different key: Adroitly, waterlog, steamily are three. 8

3) Let's go for Obsessions, which is 31 I think (though I expect that can be bettered).

Ok in a vain attempt to russucitate this thread (maybe moving it to the quiz section may help?) I shall give a point toStatman for round 32 and so onto....

Round 33:

A point shall be awarded to the person who can post the word they think will result is the lowest number of hits in google.

for example apple generates me about 301,000,000 hits

whereas bungee generates just 6,470,000 hits.

Everyone can post up to three words in the next 48 hours. I will then enterl all of them into google one at a time and post the results (please note my results may differ to yours.) The lowest total of hits will be declared the winner.

The word must be a proper dictionary form word and must be relatively well known without need of an encyclopedia.

It would be interesting to see which INCORRECT spellings have the most hits in Google.

Concensus, millenium and quartercentenary (meaning 400th anniversary) are three contenders, also Middlesborough (although there is a city of that spelling in Kentucky).

But I suspect the winner would be miniscule – in fact, I wouldn't be surprised if that got as many hits as the correct spelling!
