Yes it's a wonderful word.

The little-known 'sesqui-' prefix meaning 1½× ought be used as often as possible in everyday language – such as "It's only a sesquimonth to go till the World Championships" or "bloody traffic, I've got to be in London in a sesquihour" or "he missed that easy red, it was only a sesquifoot from the pocket".

Unfortunately, if I order a pint of lager in this country, they'll be doubly confused. First I would doubt very many barpeople would know what a pint is and secondly, I doubt more than a handful of bars stock lager in the first place. I know all this can be easily fixed by taking a trip to the UK, but my funds don't allow that in the forseeable future. It might even be a sesquidecade before I see UK soil again!
