  • I like a bit of the Pogues as well, but it was their predecessors the Dubliners (Spance Hill) for me this morning.

    • my first 'song' today is Dio che nell'alma infondere from Don Carlos - for me it is the most beautiful duet for male voices that has ever been written (sung by Jussi Bjoerling and Robert Merrill)

      • My first song was "A.K.A I.D.I.O.T - The Hives"
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

VJ... I can do that. Just give me a radio station or a pub! Frankly, I'd prefer the pub, if it wasn't for the smoking ban.

Chamber (L'orchestre de chambre noir) - The truth about Snow White

Neoclassical chamber music. The voice is fabulous, the lyrics & music great - all in all a good track to try to wake up to.

And now something completely different and less cultivated, our local flemish singer was singing about the fact he went to Venice with his gf but she finally fell for the charms of the Italian accordion player there.
I guess no one is really interested in further details so that's it.

                      • LOL, no Wim! Depends on what you consider a "low place" I guess. Belgium is lower than Austria, for example, so in that respect... YES!

                        • Nice to see the thread living Since I am still ill at home, not listening to music really... Just not to add to my headaches. Though all of a sudden one song is haunting me, a latvian song, about an empty house spooky

hehe nicely said AG and the song is quite good, true.
There is some kind of a 'Prince week' here on our local radio- not so bad that music but even better is the name he invented "The Artist Formely Known As Prince". That' s why I called you 'AG, the girl formerly known as Kat' yesterday. Not very original, I agree

                            • I thought it was an allusion to Prince. Just didn't know about the Prince week on your radio station. It could take more than a week, tho, to play through all his songs.
