  • Where do you WANT to live?

if you could move and set up home in another country from where you currently stay, where would you like to live? (and why?)

Tokyo, because it's great over there
You play a long slow deadweight red to a corner pocket. As it approaches the pocket, a kamikaze woodlouse crawls out from under the cushion and makes its way across the table, conflicting with the path of the red precisely at the point the red gets there. The red, needless to say, veers off course, and the future of the woodlouse is uncertain. - The Statman

How do you know that, Mitsuko? I like Austria and Belgium, but... I am not sure I could live there for long I've lived in Denmark for almost a year, it was fun time, but I was happy to return back home.

I'll think about this question, Semih!

I often hear people say (including myself) to pack it in and move away. But if one thinks very well there are also a lot of disadvantages (friends and family, all services wich we have over here, missing visiting snooker events etc.).

I would prefer somewhere with a bit more living space (which is a big problem in Holland) and a mild climate with decent summers. I have stayed in Sudan before for 6 months but would not like to stay there at all. If i would move away i should have something useful to do in my new place otherwise it will get boring very quickly. Over the last 1.5 year I got to know my own country much better. I think a lot of people dont even know their own country properly.

Off all the european countries I have been, inland Spain would suit me, around 30 miles from Barcelona. beautiful scenery, relaxed people, quality food, good climate and a great city to visit. A bit further away New Zealand.

Thirdly, Norfolk street in Sheffield. No need to explain this one.

My home town in China (about 1 hour's ride from Shanghai) of 15 years ago should be the most ideal place to live in as per my current opinion; but certainly not now, too much pollution because of development, no more villiages, no more rivers with fish...

San Francisco should be a great option now, not too hot or cold the whole year, close to the sea, and plenty of Chinese people and Chinese restaurants around.

Home is where family and friends are , so i guess home for me could be anywhere in this world as long as they're with me.
I had friends who moved away to live - Canada for example , it's been a mytery to me how they could do that ,leave family and friends behind , i don't think i could. But one can never know, so better never say never.
I've never lived anywhere else than Romania , never even visited other countries so is hard for me to pick a place ,but to answer Sem's Q ,i think i would pick UK , i've always been curious how is to live there (tho it's to rainy for my taste ),I've always wanted to visit it more than any other places -maybe because it's a bit more difficult for us to get there than in any other country , and of course snooker is one of the reasons also.

Difficult question, I have never thought about it.

Not the UK, great snooker but dont like the food/climate/ale/too crowded.

Perhaps Norway, or to the north of Sweden. Somewhere with lots of space and lots of snow.

To end my contribution. I am not one for staying at one place. Ideally I would like to stay a few months over here and the rest of the year somewhere else, ranging from southern europe up to the pacific ocean.
