Ok,I'll revive this thread now, because I have another problem which is slightly related, and I thought I'd keep all my stupid questions to one thread
My stupid question this time is:
What do I do if I've been stupid enough to buy copy protected wma (music) files and want to be able to burn them to a CD or copy them to my iPod?
I can play the files in Windows Media Player or Real Player,no probs, but is there any (preferably legal) way around this copy protection, or have I just wasted my money?
Help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanx

Yes,I thought that would be possible, but I'm not sure how to convert the files.
Do I need certain software to convert wma files to mp3 files?
From what I understand, the online store where I bought the files is not responsible for any copy protection, but the record companies that have released the music are.

Well, I think you have to have some software to convert that. I think Winamp has possibility to convert to mp3, you just have to download a plugin for that - I have used winamp for that, but that was quite a while ago. And I don't know if the protected files can be converted..ZIPPIE FOR CHAIRMAN
