I'd love nothing more than for Priestley to win it...he's from my neck of the woods, and is a lovely bloke (and he used to be my grandad's coalman!).

Looking forward to the Mason v Taylor match tonight.

Wasn't Priestley the only guy to win the PDC world title other than Taylor and Part?

Yes I think so...he'd have won a few more had The Power not been around.

Saw a great match earlier today...Adrian Lewis losing out 4-3.

Not that I'm aware of. I'd have thought you'd get live coverage with the number of Dutch players involved but I suppose it's contractual...

Interesting to hear Mason slagging Taylor off in the newspapers today...sets it up nicely. Sounded like sour grapes to me, having a go at Taylor for buying a Bentley while he's still driving a 9 year old car!

last 2 seasons it was live, but it changed to another broadcaster. As Van Barneveldt got to the quarters they might broadcast it live.

Did you see the Mason v. Taylor match? What a travesty. Mason wasn't even really trying. And then he ends up cussing at Taylor after the match! Looooseeeerr!

Shame to see Priestley exit, same with Scholten, although I am not surprised as Scholten played rubbish in the last two matches he played. He was very, very lucky to get through against Alex Roy and Osborne gave him what he deserved, a loss.

Don't much care for Jenkins, but that match was great. Very high level of darts. Looking forward to the rest of round 3.

I thought Mason was a disgrace... i'm glad we don't see that sort of thing in snooker!

I'd like to see Barney challenge Taylor, no-one else seems really capable.

Agreed. Taylor/Barney final would be interesting. Taylor was great the other night, 109 3 dart average

I think it will go all the way. Barney against The Power!

I think LagerMike had a few too many in Purfleet. He has not been reporting back yet!

Two very boring matches yesterday in my opinion. Only the 5th set in Taylor vs. Webster was interesting. Ah well, can't have good matches every time!

I am back, operation PDC world darts was a success. I saw three matches from 7pm until almost midnight. The power came out and spanked Chris Mason, he really is a class apart and perhaps only Barney could trouble him in the final.
The beer though was rubbish, it was flat, warm and probably watered down. I had about 12 pints and didn't really feel hammered at all!!!!

How was the view from where you were sitting? I think its more atmosphere than quality of a view for visiting, (likewise snooker). Though i guess the view with darts is even more difficult!

About the beer, its a bit too low on alcohol according to me. Most of them 4%Minimum over here is 5%. I sloshed them down like mineral water in York!

The view was okay, I was at the left hand side of the oche. They have monitors all around the venue which everyone has to watch as the board is too far away. But as you say it is all about the atmosphere and the atmosphere was electric!!!!

interesting the monitors. I never understand why they are not used in snooker. The more, they are present at the venue only showing the score.
