I hate lists. I have never ever been able to make one with the songs I love the most. Many of them are in Greek anyway and I'm afraid that even if I found links for them you wouldn't understand anyway...
But I still want to make an effort. So I thought maybe categorise in chronilogical order... or by genre... or by situations connected to them in my mind... or alphabetically maybe...
Nah, none of this will work for me. I'll just write down whatever comes to mind each time, and keep it a work in progress.

Ok,I'll start making my list too
I'll update the list as soon as I come up with more.
Hmmm...just realized I won't be able to add all my favourite songs,so I'll just pick a few songs from each band or something...Oh well, let's see how it goes:
There are many songs I consider favourite but nothing comes close to Not So Manic Now by Dubstar. I'll never forget waking up to it one morning in 1995when I was 18 and things were going sweetly. It was playing on the radio and everything about it made me feel like every part of it was written for me.
Despite it being my all time fave track I had never seen the video until recently. Nothing can take away any credibility for the music but I have to say its the most pathetic attempt at a pop video I've ever had the misfortune to witness. Great song though
Favourite rock/jazz albums (Baroque and choral music in another department ...)
Camel - Stationary Traveller
Pink Floyd - The piper at the gates of down
Jazz at the Pawnshop (various artists - life)
The Who - Who's next?
"Lilly was here" by Candy Dufler and Dave Stuart
Subway to Sally - Sabbat live in Köln last Saturday. You can see me in this, actually, and headbanging slightly at that. I really do hate concert vids made with bad cell phones or cheap cameras. The support band filmed the concert professionally, must say I'm looking forwards to seeing that!
Nearly the entire concert is on Youtube, thanks for making me look, Semih! That's me heading out of this thread for now.
I think about this a lot, as I listen to a lot of music
Here are a few of my favourite songs of all time (in no order)
Iggy and the Stooges - Search and Destroy
The song to signify the end of the world. Described by Danny Fields as the best rock and roll song of all time. In Kurt Cobain's top 10 all time favourites.
In my top 1
God Only Knows - The Beach Boys
This song is pure genius. The only song that can bring a tear to Paul McCartney's eyes. It is nothing other than immense.
Dire Straits - You and Your Friend (live from 1993 On Every Street Tour)
For some reason reminds me of Ayrton Senna, a classic live track from my favourite guitarist, Mark Knopfler.
Iggy and the Stooges - Gimme Danger
From the 1973 Raw Power album. It gave me my name! James Williamson's guitar solos are brilliant, IMO The Stooges are the godfathers of punk.
Bob Dylan - Lay Lady Lay
Perfect for blasting down a long winding road on a hot summers day without a care in the world.
The Beatles - A Day In The Life
I have no idea about the lyrics, but I think it's the Beatles finest hour.
Iggy and the Stooges - 1969 or 1970
1969. Superb use of the Wah Wah pedal by Ron Asheton. Very simple, but still, briiliant.
1970. Search for The Stooges at the Cincinatti Festival in 1970. Scene of a famous photo of Iggy Pop, stoked up on acid, walking on the crowds hands to the sounds of the track 1970.
The Ramones - California Sun
No list is complete without a track from the legends of the 70's. I could have said Blitzkreig Bop, but I think California Sun just edges it.
Mark Knopfler - Sultans of Swing (live from the Albert Hall in 1996)
This track is 13 minutes and 14 seconds long, and it is 13 minutes and 14 seconds of pure guitaring genius, at its un-adulterated best.
Motorhead - Ace of Spades
TURN IT UP LOUD!!!
Thin Lizzy - Parisienne Walkways
What a track!! Listen to the live version by Gary Moore, he holds the same note on the guitar for 23 seconds.......23 SECONDS!!!! It's amazing!
