  • Problems with my DVD Recorder

    Hi all.

I bought a vcr/dvd recorder last summer and I have had lots of problems with it when recording. I am trying to convert my vhs tapes to dvd but the majority of discs that I have been using are basically useless. I have tried Maxell, Imation, Philips and Memorex and the only one that seems to work is Maxell. When I use the others the picture freezes or breaks up. The only discs compatible with my recorder are +r or +rw.

If any of you do a lot of recording on your dvd can you please tell me what make of disc you use or any others you would recommend.

    Thanks for any help.

I would advice you to buy a Hard disc recorder. Transfer the tapes to the hard disc. Then copy them to a dvd if you want. Piece of cake. I am sure it has nothing to do with the brand of dvd you use. Its the machine.

Thanks Paul. I have been thinking the recorder may be at fault. I guess I should swap it for a better one.
