I have downloaded the mame emulator. I didnt know what to do....I extracted the mame files. Then I realised that the game would work using the emulator so I dragged the glaxian file onto the mame.exe file and tried....the command prompt opened, I could read loading....then it closed automatically.

What do I do now?

did you try DOSBox? it is working on my win XP installation, should be fine. Haven't tried to play Galaxians on it though.

Yes April, I tried the same thing I did with the mame. It works!!!! But the game dosent seem to be the original one! I am now looking for the Original Galaxians. I cant even play this copy of Galaxians....because its tooooooo fast! Even before I can shoot....I lose all 3 lives within 2 seconds. Thats.........fast!

Ranen, I think there was a key combination to slow down the comp - CTRL+F11, try to read the FAQ on the dosbox webpage.

And yes, could be that is not the original game, I think the original was not a DOS game?

I dont remember what game it was. I had these on a cd which had more than 10,000 games. I love this and a other few. I was also trying to find Alladin...its a small game abt 5MB. But very nice!
