  • Me and Nina played our match too. And it ended up 5-1 to me .
I am not good doing the match commentary , maybe i should have asked Semih to assist us , he does it to well ...so all i will say would be : the score's not quite fair , Nina played better than the score shows , its just that... was my lucky night .
Ty for the match Nina...we should practice sometime !

    • I am not good at match descriptions either, so all I will say is the score is exactly as should be, Ellena is a great player and I played the worst ever, even as a newbie.
      Well done El!

        • Lol Marc. Wishful thinking . Someone should let ya know that Ran is not a beginner , he's a very good player so you should start practice more if you want to get a draw , not to mention winning.
Ran is fast and offensive ..like a Rocket ( and Rocket rules all the time ) , as i said before , so i think you're in trouble.

            • I have a tough ending of the season. I play Ellena second to last and RaNeN last. I better have my points scored before then!

              • dannyd0g and I just played.

He totally demolished me in the first game, leaving me with 7 balls.
Second frame was close, I had a chance to win it, blew it and he was up 2-0.
Third frame was another close one, but he was clearly better. 3-0.
Then I hit form, potting 5 balls off the break and finishing off the frame quickly. 3-1.
dannyd0g then got a bit of luck and played well to take the win at 4-1.
Then I took the last frame with some tactical safety play.

Well played to dannyd0g! 4-2. A good win.

                  Thanks elvaago.

Nothing much i can add to that. I got off to that all important good start. I'm sure that increases the first frame winners confidence, relaxes him and loosens him up, while the opponent is immediately under pressure. In a quick best of 6 that can make all the difference !

                    Davis GE VS Dannyd0g
                    Miss S VS Davis GE

                    • A bit of a delayed reply but...

                      Chasmmi vs elvaago

With both players looking for a win to improve their semi final chances this was expected to be a cagey affair. That was however not the case, elvaago hit the ground running and stormed the first frame without chasmmi getting much of a chance at all.

The second frame again started like the first with elvaago again potting his way down to the penultamate ball. Still with four balls on the table chasmmi could not afford to miss and with a great run of pressure shots, he managed to level the scores.

The third again followed the same pattern with elvaago storming into the lead, this time chasmmi had no reply and elvaago eased into a 2-1 lead. The fourth frame was almost a repeat of the second with the ever impressive elvaago again forging a dominant position only for a pressure clearance at the death allowing chasmmi to salvage the frame for 2-2.

The fifth frame was closer at the start with both players potting their way to three balls remaining each. At this point a couple of good positional shots plus a dazzling shot on the penultamate ball left chasmmi with a thin cut on the black to the middle to take the lead. The black looked pocket bound and chasmmi was already celebrating when to his horror the black cannoned off both middle jaws and rested just over the middle pocket. Now it was elvaago's turn for a pressure clearance and three perfect positional shots left him with a simple black to the middle and at least a draw at 3-2.

The final frame was must win for both players and elvaago again kept up his form to take control. At the latter end of the frame chasmmi came to the table three balls left to elvaago's one. Everything was safe but two physics defying screw shots changed everything as the black was cannoned nicley over the pocket for chasmmi to finish off the frame with ease and secure the draw.

                      Final score 3-3.

                      • I just played Ranen.

                        He blew me away completely.

he was potting balls i didnt think was possible.

my safety tactics didnt work against him at all.

well played Ranen! Excellent potting there.

                        I will keep practicing

                        Result Ranen 6 marc 0

                        • I played Nina earlier today, in the first of my 3 matches scheduled for this week. As it was a few hours ago, I can't remember too many of the details, but hopefully that won't be evident from the quality of my in-depth match report.

I potted some balls and Nina potted some balls. Then I potted more balls. Then Nina potted balls. Many balls were potted. I won 4 frames and Nina won 2.

Therefore, the final score (and remember this if alphabetical order becomes important) was:

                          aaa_aaa_aaa_absolutely_d_g 4 - 2 zzzNina

                            • I played Miss_S last night. It was a good, close match, which would have had the world's greatest pool players in awe at the standard.

                              Anyway, final score was d_g 4 - 2 Miss_S. Well played, Sølvi!
