I dont suppose it matters too much if i play you first, but i can play any day this weekend. Preferably early evening 5.30 pm ish. But any time is ok.

I think we said we would try for tonight if possible. But if you wont be back till late i will probably be either drunk or sleeping by then. Neither would be conducive to good pool. So lets say tomorrow if thats ok.

Ellena and me just finished our little pool game. Final result: 4-2 to Ellena!!!

I went up 2-0, with the first frame finishing early when Ellena potted the black prematurely (). But from that point onwards, Ellena showed her brilliance and won all four remaining frames to seal victory. She was a bit lucky in frame 7 (was it 7?... anyway) but was overall the way better player throughout the match. I am not at all surprised that she is so far up in the rankings, esp. seeing that she plays extraordinary "ranens", which are only second to their namesake's.

It was a fun match! Thanks a lot, Ell!

That's where I'm going wrong - I'm getting all my luck in frame 7 too, and the matches are only 6 frames These "RaNeNs" - what are they? I'm looking forward to seeing them.

I'm trying to think why I wrote frame 7 but I don't seem to find the answer. What I meant was frame 5 - the penultimate frame.

Well, I can't really describe with words what Ranens are and my drawing on computers is nowhere as good as the Statman's. But I'm happy to demonstrate how to fail in these sort of shots.

edit: I tried to sketch what I mean but it turned out rather pathetic! Hehehe a_g .... that is a very good picture.

It does look, though, that it's showing potting a black into a corner pocket, when there's a much easier pot on to the middle! Any reason for going for the corner? Perhaps just to excite the watching fans?

PS it does show the black lines around the table on my screen (maybe you edited it again?) - do those pockets conform to regulation templates?
