Ellena and I have just played our semi final.

Her well deserved place in the final has been secured with a 5-3 victory.

There were a few surprising mistakes from both players, but also some good breaks put together. Overall though, Ellena was the better potter, tactician and positional player.

Frame 1 was quick and short. RaNeN took it with conviction. 1-0
Frame 2 was almost elvaago's, but he fouled the white with just the black on the table. 2-0.
Frame 3 left RaNeN with a tough pot on the black. He missed it and elvaago cleared up 5 balls for the win. 2-1.
Frame 4. RaNeN breaks off, elvaago makes a total clearance. 2-2.
Frame 5. After a good break by RaNeN he fouls white and elvaago clears up 5 balls for the win. 2-3.
Frame 6. elvaago messes up what should've been an easy pot and RaNeN makes a total clearance! 3-3
Frame 7. elvaago pots 3 balls, RaNeN pots 6, but strangely misses the last one. elvaago then nets 4 balls but leaves himself in an impossible position on the black. A failed double leads to a safety from RaNeN, but it's a milimeter short and elvaago pots the black for 3-4.
Frame 8. It was a cagey affair with RaNeN clearly in the advantage. However, one mistake put elvaago in the balls. A 5 balls clearance makes it 3-5.

Elvaago and I finally played our Semi Final match today.

Elvaago 5-3 RaNeN.

Elvaago had 3 total clearances, Whereas I almost had 3, missed the black on 2 occassions and once the last ball. Elvaago had the luck when he needed it. Overall an excellent match!
