would you want as many rounds as 1/4 finals? That would mean the league serves to spend 9 weeks to knock out two players.

If there's to be a knockout stage I think four qualifiers for the semis (Like snooker's Premier league) would suffice.

But it is up to the masses.

I agree that quarters may be too much with taking 9 rounds just to knock out 2 players. Semi finals onwards sounds better.

I agree with the semi idea, the quarters would take too long.

Irrelevant, I was looking at the scores and it seems that Ranen and Ellena have equal amount of points, so shouldn't Ellena's name be first since we're following alphabetical order?

Thanks Marc! Many, many thanks also to Nina for showing me Yahoo Pool yesterday and giving me some instruction / practice, prior to my first competitive match. She played very well but I must note that, should Yahoo Billiards ever be invented, I think she could become world champion. Her ability to play in-offs in potting the final black, time and again, seemingly no matter what the position, was as remarkable as it was entertaining.

Damn! Why dont I have my name starting with an A! I would have been on the 1st position! LOL!

It would be great to have it from the semi's. Atleast I would like to watch the other matches if possible. I may not even be in one of the Semi's!

                  Lots of competetion!!!

Davis GE and me just played. After I took a quick 3-0 lead, he found his form and pegged me back to 3-3.

Well the big showdown of the week was between the two titans of yahoo pool, chasmmi and Ellena and the fans did not go home disappointed.

chasmmi signalled his intent in the opening frame by running the break and then hammering his advantage home, he raced into a 3-0 lead.

Ellena however was not to rollover easily and showed tremendous form to power back to 3-2, leaving a nerve jangling final frame. As both players jostled for position it looked like it could be anybody's game until a stupendous fluke to knock in the final solid, resulting in perfect position for a easy black handed the frame to chasmmi.

                        Final Score: chasmmi 4-2 Ellena

Nice report Chas, and ty for the very good match.

I have to say after the first frame my "jaws were on the floor" , i didnt even get the chance to hit the balls , not even once. I was a spectator. at 3-0 down i thought it's goin to be an whitewash. I was lucky i guess , after all lol

An well deserved victory , Chas.... Way to go!

Nina and me just played our game tonight.

                              I won 4-2.

I have to say, Nina was EXTREMELY unfortunate throughout the first four frames which allowed me to take a 4-0 lead. I'm sure she broke a couple of foul records there. She even played a shot where she missed the pot but fluked the ball into the opposite corner just to go in-off in the middle.

However, she took a scrappy 5th and played a SUPERB last frame which left me completely dumbstruck. What a competitor!

Seriously now, there's sth with me and in-offs! I'm hopeless!!

What can I say, I'm happy I wasn't whitewashed like I feared I would be at 4 - 0 down... even if I had handed the first frame in a silver plate...

I enjoyed the match, had some good laughs, and a_g is a real good player!!
