Ok, Dan and I played a few mins ago.
I was in form. Was 2-0 up with 2 brilliant clearances. Dan gave me a tough fight, I managed to make it 4-0. Then Dan changed the way he was playing, lots of safties. I played my usual attacking self! I couldnt pot a single ball in the 5th frame, Dan slowly but steadily cleared up to make it 4-1!!! Then the last game. Dan almost scared me!!!! But I managed to win! 5-1! I thought he would win the 6th frame. He messed up on the black and missed it!

Thanks Ranen, so far you and Ellena are the best players i have ever played against on yahoo pool.

I lost the first 2 games without getting a single chance, and then carelessly potted the black, out of turn, in the 3rd. Had to dig very deep in the fourth to pot evrything on the table without Ranen getting a single pot. I didnt want to leave him a single chance for fear he would pot everything !!

I lost the next and should have won the last, but totally fluffed on the last black - "bottled it" just like Jimmy White and Willy Thorne's famous blue.

Tonight i played miss_S, in our match.. I started well and won the first 2 frames, The 3rd frame was close but a easy missed black by her helped me to go 3-0 up, 4th and 5th again close frames but she played real good to make the score 3-2.. The final frame i managed to pot a good black to win the match 4 frames to 2 ..

I was lucky to win in the end, it could easily of been a draw.

Not sure if there would be enough players for another league. Might be best to complete this one first, and then see who is up for another one...

Of course we have to add Davis GE vs Austrian Girl to this too as they are a carry over from last week. Get a move on people :P.

In a topsy turvey match Austrian Girl hit the ground running and rocketed into a 3-0 lead. Chasmmi was down but not out and despite playing like a one armed man with arthritus for the first three games, forced his way into the match taking advantage of a couple of minor errors to pull back to 3-2.

Then the final crucial frame: It went one way then the other, then with fianl ball over the pocket and black in simple position chasmmi over screwed with hilarious effect to hand control to AG. Taking the cunning approach a malicious snooker was laid which took all of casmmi's tactical nous to find the one cushion escape to prevent the potentially frame losing ball in hand situation.

AG still had plenty of optiona with balls well placed and luckily for chasmmi AG decided to just nudnge into the a nearby solid and lined up and unmissable straight black into the middle for a 3-3 end result.

dg and me just finished our match. It ended 3-3!

However, I want to remark how stupid a player I am. In the second frame I potted the black, only to realise that I forgot to change the arrow from the middle pocket to the side pocket, hence I lost the frame. In the third, I pushed the black over the pocket and somehow it got potted in some tremendous 5-ball plant methinks. All credit goes to dg, tho. Played some good stuff there!

I just played Marc.

In a match dominated by safety and counter-safety, which reminded Marc of the great Thorburn-Griffiths matches of yesteryear, things started brightly when davis_greatest finally seized an opportunity to clear for the opening frame.

However, there was to be no fairytale ending, as tight safety continued and the wicked witch helped Marc to take four successive frames with some nice breakbuilding and coolness under pressure in clearing up. By frame 6, davis_greatest's gradual shift in strategy, from keeping it tight to hitting the ball as hard as he could, failed to pay dividends when he walloped in the black on about his 2nd shot of the frame.

Final score Marc 5-1 davis_greatest. Well played Marc!
