Bradley Manning Should have got a medal instead he got 35 years!
Whether Republican or Democrat.. Tories or Labour.. on either side of the Atlantic, these political persuasions are separate cheeks of the same arse.. unfortunately.
To bring it back down to earth we are now getting George Galloway quotes, lol.
I have to say I am particularly impressed that someone has quoted Shelley.
Rise like lions after slumber
In unvanquishable number
Shake your chains to earth like dew
Which in sleep hath fallen on you
Yea are many, they are few.
The first time I heard this was gorgeous George on question time he said the Tories ,Liberals and Labour parties were three cheeks of the same arse.
Very nice VMax I'm off to read the whole thing.
Took a while, but was well worth it, I know it's off topic but I really hope we vote for independence , I hate being a subject of anyone, let alone a German, I want FREEDOM!!!!! Lol.

Well the story detracts from the punishment they gave him but interesting none the less.
I must say I am impressed by some of the comments I have read on this forum - some real deep thinkers hidden behind the chatter of the green baize.
I will leave this thread with a quote from our Mr Shelley.
Government is an evil; it is only the thoughtlessness and vices of men that make it a necessary evil. When all men are good and wise, government will of itself decay.
Right i reckon we could write a poem between us, we can all add a couple of lines and see where it takes us, here is the start.
Deep thoughts and intricate prose, was written by the poet called Shelly
the reason for this ?, he had nothing to do, as they hadnt invented the telly...(over to the next person)

So curse the response from the core support as modern literature dies - once the bread,
That fed the hungry that flock on a forum to mock.
Scatter free - like leaves from a tree in a summer brace, with the wind of this howling scurrilous race.

Democracy gets you nowhere as it's the rich who bankroll the senators and most honourable members and you only end up voting for the staus quo. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss as the saying goes.
Whoever's in charge will still line their own pockets and waste your taxes. Look at the warm glow the USA got after electing Obama, believing that a black man, one of the downtrodden, would put the world to rights. They forgot that the man is simply a career politician, a puppet on the left with nothing but fancy speeches that are designed to bring hope without saying anything concrete.
The revolution has to happen in the minds of the mindless masses, and as they are mindless it will never happen. Too many can't think for themselves and need a bloody leader to follow.
To quote Billy Connolly...
Yeah I read that after getting sent down for 35 years he now wants to be a woman
This is irrelevant to what he did and will raise a smokescreen for the swivel eyed loons who will see him now as a sexual degenerate traitor.
For myself I can see now why he wanted to be among so many men in uniform, there's a lot of that in the military btw, it goes all the way back to ancient Greece and Sparta.
But I bet he wishes now that he had become a traffic warden instead.

There was a young poet called Shelley
Whose feet were rather smelly
He wrote wonderful prose
While holding his nose
With his jotter balanced on his belly
