You had to take the blaster for who he was at the end of the day, he didn't seem malicious enough to take him too seriously, yes I had my ups and downs with him but iat the end he seem to grow on you a bit, but as Geordie said with out the lively characters on here the forum would send you asleep at times. His dried ash threads were getting very boring though

He new how much it annoyed certain members and the more angry they got the more he wound them up, it was like watching a true Master at work and had me in stitches

You are dead right it was on a downward curve before him, but he definitely helped in making this a place to avoid IMO. Might be a good guy personally, but tried to wind too many people up.

I think part of the problem with this forum is that people are sometimes too helpful, new or lurking members ask for advice, once they get it they are off. For example the guy asking about fibre ferrules, said he found them but couldn't be bothered to reply to my enquiry as to where he got them from. I always try to help, with any community you have to deposit as well as withdraw.

I disagree as he gave some good advice in between his air dried Ash wind up posts but some of the members became blinded by hate, if they had used their brains and ignored the posts he would have spent more time helping people and wouldn't have bothered with the easy fishing.

Well I dont know what to say, Blaster was the only person to welcome me when I first joined and I've had a bit of friendly banter with him, like I will with everyone.
